HP Veer and HP Pre 3 webOS Smartphones introduced by HP



HP introduced its two new webOS Smartphones HP Pre 3 and HP Veer, as result of one year ago HP acquired Palm for $1.2 billion. At a look both smartphones look great. but in performance, we have to wait for that check.

The HP Pre3 running on WebOS 2.2 specs 3.6” display with 480x800 pixel resolution, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. And also features 5MP camera with autofocus and LED flash, 1.3MP front-facing camera for video calling. The phone has 0.63 inches thickness and weighs 156 gm.

The Smartphone supports Adobe Flash, and the phone is powered with powerful 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 8x55 CPU, and 512MB of RAM. Smartphone will come in two versions with different radio types - EVDO world phone, and HSPA+ version for GSM networks. Internal storage will also come in two flavors - 8GB and 16GB of flash memory. The battery is 1230mAH.

HP says that for webOS there thousands of Apps available now such as social networking, health and fitness, productivity, finance and adding tons of features for app developers to help bring you more amazing experiences". 



Whereas the HP Veer running on webOS 2.2 is coming with 2.6” multi-touch display with 320x400 pixels resolution, and powered with Qualcomm 7230 snapdragon 800MHz processor and 5MP Camera with a fixed focus. The phone is really small, the one about a credit card size wide and weighing just 100 grams.
The phone has HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR for connectivity, and the available storage is 8GB. Unfortunately, no microSD card slot is available.

The veer will be only available on quad-band GSM and expected to be available in this spring and The HP Pre 3 will be available in this summer and the pricing about the both Smartphones are not available now. check out the video below to see the Phones in action.
