Apple iPhone gets Skype Video Calling App in 2011?

World's well known app for video calling "Skype" is expected to bring application wich allows iPhone 4 user to make a video call online in 2011, A "FAQ" document put out on the Skype site-and since removed- provided some solid hints about how to use a Skype to Apple iPhone app to make video calls to the Skype client running on other operating systems like Windows or
Mac. Documents were removed though, we can certainly think that the App will be available for Apple iPhone 4 and 3GS in 2011.

According to a FAQ page published on the Skype site (it's since been removed), video calls on a device like Apple's iPhone could transpire over both a user's 3G and Wi-Fi connections—that's actually an upgrade from FaceTime, which only officially works across one's Wi-Fi connection.

Based on the document, you must be using an Apple iPhone 4 or 3GS, 3rd or 4th generation iPod touch, or an Apple iPad. The contact you are calling must have Skype for Windows 4.2 or higher, Skype for Mac OS X version 2.8 or higher, or Skype for the Apple iPhone 3.0 or above. While the quality of your call will depend on your network connection, you can use either 3G or Wi-Fi to make the video call. The fewer programs using up your bandwidth at the same time, the better the video quality will be.

Users would allegedly be able to hit up video chats with their PC or Mac counterparts, however there's no mention of whether the FaceTime alternative will initially work with (or even be available for) Android-based Skype apps.

If Skype is going to introduce the versions of its client for all existing mobile platforms, then we can say with certainty that it will instantly take a dominant position in the market of video calls from mobile to mobile, as well as from Smartphone to PC.

No further information is available about this now; we can certainly guess that there is a chance for App to hit in January 2011, and we are eying for further information to get you updated with this news.
