HTC expands its Sense UI and LTE; teases with Puzzle to show it

HTC reportedly to open a new r wireless study facility to expand its Sense UI beyond Smartphone to home automation, the wireless study centre is expected to be in North Carolina. Drew Bamford, the head of User Experience at HTC says that HTC focuses on content delivery and natural
interactions. Sounds posh, so let's elaborate a bit.

The organization now has two years of encounter with Android, and is establishing a partnership using the Windows Phone 7 development crew to tweak the WP7 interface, which includes far more HTC Sense elements. These details allow it to be assured sufficient to attempt and extend the excellent operate it has carried out using the elaborate consumer interface, through the HTCSense.com telephone management and backup portal.

By content delivery HTC means pushing e-books and multimedia to your phone. The new HTC Sense allows access to the Kobo reader and Borders Books platform in Europe, and in the US the WP7 devices of HTC are sporting an alliance with Netflix. By entering similar partnerships, HTC plans to give access to newspapers, magazines and music subscription services as well. Nothing much different from what other manufacturers have (Samsung Media Hub), or plan (Motorola), but HTC usually integrates and executes its services really well throughout the UI.

HTC also has an eye on your TV as well as other home Electronics. The HTC Media Hyperlink system currently makes it possible for for wireless streaming of content material out of your telephone for your pc or Television, and plays properly with HTC Sense, and plays properly with HTC Sense. In the big wide world outside of the living room, HTC has grand plans for its devices on LTE networks, which, according to Bamford, offer enough capacity to replace your cable broadband at some point. He envisages a planet exactly where you document Television exhibits together with your telephone, for instance, after which stream them to your residence Television within the night. Native video clip calling will likely be integrated into HTC’s LTE handsets from the box, without the want for 3rd social gathering apps also.

HTC had first dibs with the TouchFLO 3D UI way back on the HTC Touch Diamond running WinMo, but waited to pile up some experience with Android, and is now hard at work bringing 3D back to its handsets. An example are the 3D weather animations in Sense UI on the HTC HD7. The phones will also build upon natural interaction ideas, like silencing the ringer when the phone is picked up, for instance.

This entire proposal may quickly materialize within the rumored LTE handset for Verizon, as HTC’s PR agency began sending out some puzzle pieces in the package deal, to spur our creativeness. Namely, these really are a foam Television (quite possibly hinting on the multimedia streaming capabilities described over), the green Android robot along with a “Froyo Lover” sticker. You’ll find two items much more, which remedy the puzzle for us – Android display screen printout, which exhibits Las Vegas (CES 2011?), with an empty box inside the corner exactly where a encounter would seem if on the video clip chat, along with a compass keychain (HTC’s new Places app?) with 4 “G” letters hanging from it (4G, obviously).

On January 6th at the CES we can expect some sort of new features such as media streaming and receiving capabilities, HTC Locations for offline navigation, and a native video chat application with forthcoming LTE phone from HTC. We have to wait till HTC officially announce new plans, only then we can say that all predictions are right and there is already an another 4G hand set from HTC that’s HTC EVO 4G, HTC should be bothering more about it.
