Samsung Epic 4G gets Android 2.2 Froyo Update on 26th Decemebr?

Samsung epic 4G is expected to have Android 2.2 Froyo update day after the Christmas. The Samsung Epic 4G has been waiting patiently as numerous devices have been graced with the Android 2.2 Froyo treatment.
Based on the screen shot of an internal memo, it appears that the DL11 build of Froyo will slowly begin to roll out as an over-the-air process starting on December 26th – with the hopes of it hitting all handsets within 4 days of its initial launch. Naturally, your best bet is to simply wait for that notification to finally
hit your handset.
The new Froyo update rumor has started circling the web based on this piece of evidence:
A software update to DL11 (Froyo) is available for the Samsung EPIC 4G via
Google OTA.
OTA Duration time: 7-8 minutes, with installation time of 6-8 minutes.
Customers will become eligible for the upgrade across a 4-day period based on their status with the Google servers.
67% of users are currently on SW DI18 so the first OTA package we will
publish will be an upgrade from DI18 – Froyo (DL11).

We’ll keep our eyes wide open for more Android 2.2 Froyo updates for the Samsung Epic 4G, and all the Samsung Galaxy S versions in the USA and worldwide, especially since Sprint, and all the other carriers, are still quiet when it comes to these particular updates. And In case your Epic 4G gets its Froyo firmware this Christmas, do let us know how it all works out for you. Hopefully you won’t encounter any errors like the ones spotted in Canada recently.
