CISCO has released its new Linksys series wireless router named “Linksys E4200”, Cisco's new dual-band 802.11n rig enters a high-end market segment currently occupied by the TRENDnet TEW-692GR. Both routers offers 3x3 Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) configuration for a max throughput of 450Mbps on the 5GHz band, also includes Cisco Connect, an spontaneous software application that helps home users set up and manage their home wireless network with ease.
The Linksys E4200 doesn't offer 450Mbps throughput on the 2.4GHz band, it should still be quite the video streaming powerhouse. The E-4200 also sports a new USB feature that makes it easy to add external storage to the network, the built-in UPnP Media server functionality enabling users to easily share files across their entire home network.
