Nintendo 3DS to be available in the US Market on March 27; pricing $249



Nintendo has announced availability and pricing of Nintendo 3DS hand-held, at a press conference in New York Nintendo of America CEO Reggie Fils-Aime made the announcement.

An activity log, pedometer app, Mii Maker for creating 3D avatars and Face Raiders will be pre-loaded won 3DS. There’ll also be AR games – which will work with the bundled AR cards – and internet browser, 3D video player and an audio player. Nintendo will offer Gameboy and Gameboy Color titles, together with demos, through the Nintendo eShop.

The 3DS available in "aqua blue" and "cosmo black" flavors here in the U.S marks Nintendo's grand leap into glasses-free 3D gaming, with the 3DS's main 3.53-inch display using parallax-barrier technology to achieve the 3D effect without bulky glasses.

Accelerometer and gyroscope, so games will be motion controlled. There's an included charging cradle, so you can leave it sleeping, silently downloading new bits and content as it's available.

Here's what Nintendo's showing off today: Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Kid Icarus Uprising, Pilotswings Resort, Nintendogs + cats and Steel Diver from Nintendo. From third parties, Dead or Alive Dimensions, Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D, Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, Asphalt 3D, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, Ridge Racer 3D, Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars.

Nintendo has partnered with Eurosport to bring 3D sport videos to the 3DS in Europe, as well as Sky 3D for short 3D clips on the handheld. There’ll also be Aardman content featuring Shawn the Sheep in 3D for the 3DS, a series of one-minute shorts accessed via SpotPass by the end of 2011.In US the device will be available on March 27 at a price tag of $249.99, check out the video below to get a live info on 3DS
