Samsung Sliding PC 7 Series Tablet powered with Windows 7 debuts at CES 2011

Rumored as Samsung Gloria Slider Tablet now has come true but names Samsung Sliding PC 7 Series. I think Sliding Tablet is going to be real trend soon .

This 10.1-inch tablet tablet features a 1366 x 768 resolution and clocks in at just 2.2 pounds. Under the hood it is built with an Intel Z670 Oak Trail processor clocked at 1.66GHz with 2GB of RAM and either 32 or 64GB of SSD space. Additionally, Windows 7 Home Premium is on board with a specially designed Touch Launcher making it easy to launch your favorite applications. Port wise we’re looking at USB, HDMI and a 4-in-1 memory card reader alongside a built-in 1.3 megapixel webcam.

Of course 802.11 b/g/n WiFi is also built-in with the user option of adding WiMAX. Battery wise Samsung has included a 6-cell lithium-polymer battery rated for around 9 hours on a single charge with the company also saying the device will be able to boot from a cold start in under 20 seconds.

“With the proliferation of tablet devices, there is a demand from consumers that want the elegance, ease-of-use and portable form factor of a tablet but also the familiarity of a notebook,” said Scott Ledterman, director of mobile PC product marketing at Samsung Enterprise Business Division.

At first glance, the Samsung PC 7 Series is a compact, light-weight tablet featuring an intuitive touchscreen. However, once the display is slid into place, it reveals a physical keyboard that offers users the familiar keyboard/touchpad interface,” he added.

Its priced $699 and the Tablet will be available in March 2011.
