Samsung Star II S5260 with WiFi to be launched in February


Samsung unveiled its new range of Star mobile phone, dubbed Samsung S5260 Star II a mid-range mobile seems to be the successor of Star 3G launched two year back, but unfortunately this version doesn’t have 3G connectivity instead, the New star comes with WiFi connectivity under the hood.

Star II has got a major software upgrade that will provide a better user experience rather than first version of Star; The TouchWiz UI has been bumped to v3.0 and also integrated some social networking Apps.

Samsung S5260 Star II features capacitive display instead of resistive, Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity and a standard microUSB port, microSD card slot for an expansion of Memory up to 16 GB. Bluetooth 3.0 is also on board, the screen is a 3" WQVGA (240x400) screen, and the camera is a 3MP fixed-focus unit with no flash.

With the Samsung Star II, we have worked to tightly integrate social networking capabilities and give users choice how they stay in touch with the people important to them. We fully expect it to mirror the success of its predecessor.”

Star II’s phonebook has SNS integration and Facebook and Twitter apps are pre-installed. The phone also supports Facebook chat, Yahoo Messenger, Gtalk and AIM.

There are no details regarding price of the Phone.The Samsung S5260 Star II will be available in Black and white colors, expected to hit the market in February in Germany flowed by other European Countries, South America, India, and Middle East.
