Verizon iPhone 4; expected to be announced on January 11

According to Wall Street Journal, Verizon is going to make an announcement at a press conference taking place in New York City on Tuesday. There was a mysterious inviting for the Media even going to take place in New York city on Tuesday.

It’s said that there will be an additional options on pricing of iPhone  that could affect  consumers monthly bill.
WSJ also claimed the phone would be running a CDMA chipset from Qualcomm -- and we've heard similar rumblings from good sources (something that previously seemed unlikely, and a knock against imminent Verizon iPhone potential). The WSJ also said there's a separate brand-new iPhone in the works as well, which would presumably launch in the summer once again, another thing that we've heard around the campfire.

It also says that apple is trying to overcome the rival phones with Google android operating system in U.S while facing an increasing pressure from it.

Top Verizon executives have continued to meet regularly with their counterparts at Apple, however, and have long expressed interest in carrying the iPhone, which could help add to the carrier's base of 93 million subscribers. Toni Sacconaghi, an analyst at Sanford Bernstein, has estimated that Verizon could add more than 10 million U.S. iPhone customers.

"This is the worst case scenario for the other carriers," said Roger Entner of Recon Analytics to the Wall Street Journal. "When Verizon comes out with the iPhone, there's only one carrier in the U.S. that will gain customers, and that's Verizon."

WSJ has confidently confirmed an iPhone launch at Verizon's announced Tuesday event, and considering their track record we have no reason to doubt them.

AT&T has been the exclusive carrier for iPhone since the Device was launched in 2007 and hasn’t faced any competition from any other carriers until Google’s Android based phones has got stability in Smartphone market.
