Verizon to take away Mail-In rebate on High-end Smartphones

Verizon is reportedly to take away its mail-in-rebates for selected high-end smartphone devices, According to Verizon document leaked. smartphones net priced $150 will have no longer come with rebates, while smartphones net priced $149.99 and below with $50 will continue to use rebates.

As you can see on the new sheet, which goes into effect on January 31st, nearly all smartphones priced $150 and higher have been removed Such as the BlackBerry Storm2 and Motorola’s DROID x and DROID Pro. A few high-end Smartphones still remain on rebate, such as the DROID R2-D2, but we think a price drop to $149.99 will take effect tomorrow or Monday. Currently, the Droid Pro is available on Verizon for $279 with a $100 mail-in rebate and a two-year contract. Anyway what do you think about this changes going to be done by Verizon?
