HTC debuted its Wildfire successor Wildfire S, HTC Wildfire S is a smallest phone among HTC's Smartphone ever made.
HTC Wildfire is powered with 600MHz processor, running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 3.2-inch HVGA display, and has a higher resolution than its predecessor (320 x 480), 512 MB of RAM and 512 MB of ROM, and a microSD memory card (SD 2.0 compatible) slot for additional storage space.
The phone offers almost things that a mid range phone can offer, the Phone also offers 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus and flash same as predecessor, 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, micro-USB, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and built-in GPS antenna.
This phone has HTC’s Sense UI, for connectivity the new Android device comes with support for 3G networks (up to 7.2 Mbps download speed and up to 384 kbps upload speed), as well as for Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz.
Other features are G-Sensor, Digital compass, Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, a 1230 mAh battery.
The HTC Wildfire S’s power button and 3.5mm headphone jack are placed on top and on the phone's left side are a volume rocker and a Micro-USB port. As the Screen is very small one, typing on the virtual keyboard would make some users irritated.
After all phone looks cute with size, measuring 3.98 inches long by 2.34 inches wide. The phone is expected to be available in Q2 2011, exact date of availability and pricing is yet to be announced.
