LG has reportedly confirmed that LG Optimus One will get Android 2.3 Gingerbread, The device is one of the first smartphones to offer Android 2.2 Froyo and finally getting Android 2.3 Gingerbread. LG was even more confident at the end of 2010 about the device since they mentioned that it would be upgradeable to Android 2.3 Gingerbread some time down the road.
According to LG India, the Company has plan to push Android 2.3 Gingerbread for the device before the end of May . It’s worth noting that it doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll arrive in a timely manner since the date “is subject to change.” Regardless of that, it’s just nice to know that the device is still going to get some love – despite witnessing some of its higher end siblings coming to market.
