Supermoon occurs tonight; no link between Earth Quake and Supermoon

The "Supermoon" phenomenon occurring once in every 18 years is going to happen all over the world on Saturday night, there has been so many speculations and opinions about the "Supermoon" phenomenon. This happens when the Earth's natural Satellite is only mere 356,575 kilometers out in orbit, the moon is seen its closest position to earth and its known as "maximal perigee".

When it occurs moon may appear 14 percent larger and 30 percent brighter than lesser full moons (when the moon is at its farthest from Earth), weather permitting. Yet to the casual observer, it may be hard to tell the difference.

As i mentioned earlier there has been so many speculations and opinion about Supermoon, some even have opinion that the supermoon may cause natural disasters like Earth Quakes, but according to Discovery News Research geophysicist Malcom Johnston with the USGS says that blaming such events on the moon's orbit is not a new idea. the idea of blaming natural disasters on the phases of moon goes back to Greeks. It has been around for hundreds and hundreds of years,"

At the same time, geologist Bill Burton with the US Geological Survey says that this is unlikely, These ideas, Burton adds, are largely unfounded. He noted, however, that a higher tide does have a very slight effect on tectonic activity."Obviously the oceans are affected by the moon; whether it causes earthquakes is under debate," Burton said. "Some minor, very shallow quakes might take place during full tide and perigee."

Anyway, it's very rare to see such a big moon with our naked eye, never miss this opportunity to see this Phenomenon "maximal perigee" or "Supermoon".

Motorola XOOM WiFi Release Date and Price announced

The Motorola XOOM might have been the tablet of your dreams, but its $800 retail price tag is definitely hard to swallow. Scrapping off $200 definitely helps and that's exactly what the Wi-Fi-only version of the 10.1-inch tablet does.

The WiFi-only Motorola Xoom is launching on March 27th for $599. Retail availability will be truly widespread, with Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, RadioShack, Sam's Club, Staples and Walmart all offering up the Honeycomb tablet.

The 1GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor paired with large screen boasting 1280 x 800 pixel resolution makes Honeycomb run just buttery smooth even without 3G or 4G connectivity on board. Apple to ship White iPhone 4 in April?

Apple is reportedly preparing to begin the production of  White iPhone 4 with GSM functionality and will be shipping next month. An analyst from Concord Securities whose name is Ming-Chi Kuo revealed the info with AppleInsider.

The analyst said that the cupertino based company has begun to use new film material in the production of the white version of the iPhone 4 that means new film has solved the problem with full-lamination of white iPhone and that is the problem believed to make the manufacturing of white iPhone 4 late.
For More evidence of the white iPhone production AppleInsider indicates that the recently unveiled iPad 2 will be available in both black and white color on the same day. It makes sense with this evidence that the Apple  has overcome the problem with the production of white iPhone 4.
Meanwhile of course, there are those who feel that with an expected iPhone 5 coming this summer, putting money and effort into a white iPhone 4 would be a waste at this point in the game.
