Finally Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 has been official and specs of the Device has been revealed, The tablet will be running on as we reported Android 3.0 Honeycomb and surely the tablet is powered with Dual-coreTegra 2 Processor.
The device has 10.1 inch 1280 x 800-resolution wide screen and the Tablet will be called Galaxy Tab 10.1, the tablet will be available in 2 flavors in storages, 16GB and 32GB. The tablet feature 8MP Camera rear side with LED flash and can capture 1080p video and 2MP front-facing Camera which lets users capture experiences with the best-in-market full HD record and play as well as easily share them. At a look the tablet is really competitive to Motorola XOOM and iPad. The Tab 10.1 is primarily made out of plastic rather than some sort of metal, but it still felt rather rigid.
The tablet weighs 599 grams and 0.4-inch thick, seems noticeably trimmer than the 1.5-pound iPad and even the 1.6-pound Motorola Xoom. With the Android browser and Flash 10.1, the Samsung GALAXY Tab 10.1 is the perfect tool for consuming the world of the internet content wherever you are.
For Connectivity there is the quad-band (GSM 850/900/1800/1900) tablet supports HSPA+, which is capable of 21Mbps, and also has Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n) and Bluetooth 2.1.
Samsung claims it's one of the thinnest and lightest 10-inch tablets on the market. The company also added a texture to the backside and grooves where you can place your hands when holding the tablet in landscape mode.
"Samsung continues to develop innovative products that contribute to the continued growth of the Android ecosystem," said Andy Rubin, Vice President of Engineering at Google.
Both 16 and 32 GB tablets are expected to be available this spring in Europe and Asia, and Vodafone will be one of the carriers to promote the tablet.
